Delete your Kehila Local account
You can delete your account and its data at any time, in the app or by email.
In the app
- Open Kehila Local and go to Profile.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion happens straight away.
By email
Email support@kehilalocal.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm. We delete the account within 7 days and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your email address, name, city and password. You are signed out on every device.
- Your phone verification, preferences (nusach, hechsherim, home community), settings and saved places.
- Your points and badges.
- Your reviews are taken down.
- The sign-in record kept by Firebase Authentication, our text-message and Google sign-in provider (your verified phone number, and your Google email if you used Google sign-in). If Firebase can't be reached at that moment, we retry automatically every day until it is gone.
What is kept
- Updates you sent that were accepted into the directory, such as minyan times or hours, stay without your name or email.
- Ticket orders, kept as business records for accounting: the buyer's name and email are cleared 90 days after the event, and the order (amounts, date, card last 4 digits) is deleted after 7 years.
- Our security log of sign-in events, for up to 180 days.
- Database backups roll over, so copies disappear within 7 days.
